MaraFUNrun 2025

5K Run/Walk and Kid's Fun Run

Please join us for MaraFUNrun 2025 - a 5K Run or Walk and Untimed 1/4 Mile Dash presented by Runnin' for Rhett. It will be a morning filled with inspiration and smiles; an opportunity to accomplish goals; a day that encourages you to get up off the couch and get moving into life; and lastly a fundraiser for our continued efforts to promote fitness among our community's children.

The Youth Fitness Program participants will have a rolling start beginning with the SECOND corral. The first corral will be the adult/community corral. Doing this will allow the adult racers their own space.

*If you do not choose an affiliated school below, you will be placed in the first corral.

Shirts are guaranteed if registration is received by November 21, 2025.  For registrations received after November 21, shirts will be on a first come first served basis at packet pick-up (limited quantities). Tech shirts available for an additional $10.

Saturday, December 6, 2025 | Start Times:

8:30 AM – Untimed 1/4 Mile Dash (for ages 8 and under)
9:00 AM – 5K Run/Walk (Community Run/Walk)
9:00 AM – Youth Fitness Participant Start (Our school programs)
11:30 AM – Event concludes

*NOTE:  Registering online is for everyone EXCEPT youth that are participating in the Youth Fitness Training Program with their schools.  If your child is training with their school and running the race, you must fill out the permission slip to register them.

  • This option will be placed in the first corral for community particpants.

  • I am running with a school or a child who is running with their school, and I would like to be placed in the same corral as the school I choose below.

  • Children 8 and Under for the 1/4 mile run, untimed

IMPORTANT!! If you would like to be placed in the same corral as your child, please indicate which school your child attends. If you have no school affiliation, please select "no". If you select "no", you will be placed in the first corral, in front of all students participating in the youth fitness program race. 

T-Shirt Size & Type

Your entry includes a short-sleeved, baby blue cotton t-shirt. These shirts are offered in men's/unisex sizing.  Shirts are guaranteed if registration is received by November 21, 2025.  For registrations received after November 21, shirts will be on a first come first served basis at packet pick-up.

I acknowledge that this waiver and release of liability form will be used by the event holders, sponsors, and organizers, including Runnin' for Rhett Non-Profit, Capital Road Race Management, the City of Sacramento, and the City of Sacramento Police Department, in which I may participate and that it will govern my actions and responsibilities at this event. I certify that I am physically fit, have sufficiently trained for participation in this event, and have not been advised otherwise by a qualified medical physician. I hereby take action for myself, my executors, administrators, heirs, next of kin, and successors. I hereby Waive, Release and Discharge from any claims, losses, or liabilities for death, disability, personal injury, property damage, theft or damage of any kind resulting from my participation in this event. I also grant permission to use my picture in any broadcast, telecast, or photo taken at this event. I grant permission to post my race results at the event and on www.capitalroadrace.com and www.runninforrhett.org/marafunrun. I hereby certify that I have read this document and completely understand all of its contents.
